Does anybody know of a good source for remanufactured I6 Jeep engines in the Toronto, Ontario area? I have a 1981 and I would like to replace the engine.

It has been a while since I checked, but Chrysler was offering short blocks for about $1200.00 last time I asked. The Chrysler shop on Young just above the 407 was the Jeep specialists I think. The one at Young just above Finch are worse than useless, they are thieves that charge full taxes on emissions tests despite that being a no no and being brought to their attention let alone the really Bad service work they do. (they don't even check for recalls on things like O2 sensors when the O2 sensor fails, they just want money for new crap when that should have been a free fix and not 3 emissions test fails)

I found one engine rebuilder that I trusted with the old stuff, he also is a Jeeper. He is Wrights engine rebuilder on 75 Glen Cameron road unit 8, just north of Steels off Young. 905-881-4939.

I have gotten many parts like rings and bearings and cranks from him for really good prices and always was impressed with his 'well used' shop. I don't know if he will remember me, but you can try. I am Mike with the white fiberglass CJ7 that is always fixing one 258 or another. He does keep odd hours because he plows also.
