Has anyone heard from Larry lately? Looks like his last activity on here was back in May? Just wondered about him, and his health.

Old Rugged-Crosser (Larry)

Hello fellow jeep lovers , I couldn't help but respond to let some of you know about Larry , he past away several months ago from cancer , thanksgiving time if im not mistaken , he was my neighbor and personal friend aswell as his wife Karen. I saw some of you that were curious about his condition , it really did happen quite fast, it seemed one day he was making me smile with one of his witty remarks with greasy mechanic hands from behind the hood of his jeep or any of the many creative projects he always had going on , the guy was a class act and avid motor head who had been a multiple season figure 8 racer and champion here in Washington state. it all happened within about 2 months which is really fast.. I really miss the guy!!!! but I wanted to let you all know his jeep is for sale and not for 25 grand! she metioned around 10 - 15 grand which I think is a steal on this one of a kind.. his wife needs help with medical bills and finances and the jeep is a daily reminder of Larry which I know is extremely hard for her =( shes asked me to try and sell it for her..the jeep currently does not start , im not a mechanic so I don't know , but from what he told me was nothing major he was the one who knew that jeep like the back of his hand....please contact me here or at my email for further information , any reasonable offer on this jeep will be considered thank you friends! crosscale@yahoo.com

Crosscale,

Thank you very much for letting us know about Larry, I was going to meet him as I invited him on a vacation with his Jeep to the sand dunes in Florence, Or. I really was looking forward to meeting him and seeing his Jeep creation, but fate didn't have it. He has already been missed in the Jeepforum and with it's members...

RIP Larry.

Scott

Someone posted a craigslist ad with Larry's Jeep for sale on early cj5.net so I thought I would post it over here to get more exposure. Hopefully someone will buy it to help out his wife.

That's a fine lookin' Jeep. You can be proud of that Larry. Anyone know the significance of what "crosser" is?

If I remember, it has to do with his religon. I think he might have been a preacher at some point.
