Rebuild or replace steering box?

How difficult is it to rebuild or replace the steering box in a '77 CJ5? Any ideas on cost (diy or pay a mechanic)? Thanks for the help.

I swapped mine in about 3 hours. I just bought a used one from a jeep parts yard for 25 bucks and was done with it.
