Rear passenger brake locking up.

I noticed that my rear right brake was locking up when I was almost at a stop. I noticed there was a lot of dirt and grime stuck the dust cover, most likely a leak. What could be causing this? Should I replace the brakes and cylinders and springs?

You will need to remove the drum to see if the problem is the brake wheel cylinder or an axle seal leaking.
Both are replaceable.

Thanks,

I have the entire brake kit ordered with new cylinders and shoes and springs. I will do the wheel bearings and seals at the same time on both sides. I am sure neither have been touched since 85 since the jeep only has 50K on it.

The brake adjuster is froze, so I am sure all needs to be replaced. Just gives me an excuse to work on it.
