hello friends,
some news: my car is OK!!!!
I have change the fuel lines in gum, while the old was very stong and the pump pump air only;
so, the engine has started: that not the music of a V8 but it is good for the ears;
I have continued the paint of the hitch parts and on the view, that is the work of this evening (2 hours and few minutes): I have bought the Jeep to search my heating wood and this is a box in wood to protect the rear iron sheet and to protect me also: the wood do not go forward to me: it is a big risk of accident

today: raining day !!!!!!!!!
so I have working on my rear lights;
I have bought rear european lights of crown (view 1), the model with light/stop light under;
the first job was to adapt the electrics with the electrics of the CJ7 while the connecting are different: on the view 2 and 3 the right and the left lights;
on the both, there is a black wire with hose for the neutral and on the right there is a red/black wire for the 3rd stop light
It is a problem with the lights: the water go in the light and there is to much problems with rust ... as ever, so I have cuting 2 parts in a ruber air tube to resolve this (view 4)
At the base of the lights, I have cuting to place a clear part: this to the licence plate lighting (view 5 and 6)
The european lights are designed for left and right, so the lights have no side reflector, but I have found reflectors by my store for do it yourself (view 7)

Some news again:
I had got a problem with the cutting bottom light parts: 2 days after cutting, I have seen that it was broken and no possible to repair while its a bad material as ABS or...
the solution was to cut old lights case (I have made the right and the links also to have 2 watertight lights)
on the 1° view, the old cutted lights
on the 2° and 3° views: the transformed lights
I have glued the parts at first with cyanoacrylate and at second with plastic glue: these glue are polystyren solved in MEC and is the top to fill the cutting lines;
after some gluing and grating operations to obtain a good surface, i have mounted my lights again, after a basic unbump (the corner will be replace after) while i have mounted an inox Kentroll license plate, in the same operation
on the 4° and 5° view is the result and for me, it is very acceptable

Hey Jacques,

Just curious, where did you get your Jeep? Is it left or right hand drive.

Good work on your gas tank.

hello Jester,
In France as in USA, we are left hand drive; right hand drive in only for the commonwelth land: england, australia new zealand and ...
Mine is a Jeep sold by Renault while AMC was the property of Renault in the eighties, so is my car with a diesel Renault engine equiped ( the diesel is very popular in europe especially in France); only 3000 cars was equiped with this engine

re

I have received my christmas present, a little bit later, but...
when I have change my tyres, it be larger as the original fender flare and it is not good;
on the 3. view, You can see the difference with original (in white colour)
on the other hand, I have found an original engine, without turbo, with only 60000 km, and I have not think a long time: the swap with turbo is very difficult to register, and if I coud not register, I have de alternativ solution
