Which radiator

I went by advanced auto today to pick up a new radiator and they show 2for my CJ. It is an 83 with 258. Anybody have any idea which one is the right one.

I'm guessing that it's either the standard duty(2 core) verse the heavy duty(3 or 4 core) unit. IMO go with the heavy duty unit. As long as the hoses are in the right spot the only other thing you need to watch is the distance between the rad and fan. Hope that helps ya.

the different is h/d or std go with h/duty it helps when when just idling and no airflow
the heavy duty is the one for a/c it will still fit no problems

The 43-3583 looks more correct to me. I don't like the mounting hole pattern or the offset cap on the other one.

(I have a used 4-core for a manual listed in Classifieds.)

Wouldn't there be a different on for an automatic or does the auto use a separate cooler?

Yes, it would look identical to the manual with the exception of the ports at the bottom for the built in trans cooler. You can run a manual trans radiator with an auxiliary cooler if you have an automatic. People sometimes do this even if they have the correct automatic radiator, as it allows them to relocate the cooler to a spot that gets better airflow (like when the lower portion of the radiator ends up blocked by a winch, etc).
