Quick 360 question

Can anyone tell me where to look for the manufacturing year stamped into the engine block on a AMC 360?

Don't think there is one, the info is suppose to be on a tag attached to the right valve cover, good luck on that still being there!!!

Yes there is! The whole line of AMC V8's had it stamped near the engine mount. you may have to take the engine mount off to see it. It will say 304 or 360 or 401 right on it.

Locker Boy----True the displacement is cast in the block under the motor mount on each side of the block, but rotorhead asked about the year!
All my motor manuels say it's on a tag attached to the left valve cover.

I know you are looking for a year stamp...but right above where the bellhousing bolts to the block there is a block casting number...maybe you can trace that back? just a thought...hope it helps. OR...you could look at the head casting numbers, assuming they are origional heads...and compare that with a casting #s list.
