Questions about changing oil on an 81 CJ7

I recently purchased an 81 CJ7 from a friend of my wife's and I see it is due an oil change. I've always changed my own oil so I went out got 5 quarts of oil and a filter but when I raised the hood, I don't see a dipstick nor do I see a drain plug. I see the filter just fine, but the other two escape me. I feel like such a fool, but this is my first jeep so please go easy on me

The drain plug will be on the bottom of the oil pan. Make sure you reinstall it after you drain the oil. Seen a guy dump all his new oil out on the ground.

When you put the new filter on, fill it as full as possible with new oil and put a little on the rubber gasket. Make sure the old filter gasket comes off with the old filter. Nothing but big leaks if there is a double gasket.

Dip stick on the inline 6 is located on the passenger side of the motor, a little over half way back.

On the AMC V8, it is on the drivers side, and comes up between the exhaust tubes.

On the 4cyl motors, its also on the drivers side, in the same location as the V8's dipstick.

I have a 6 cylinder and I found the dipstick but there is no visible "engine oil" cap anywhere nor one that even resembles it. Sorry to appear so inept, but it has been a long time since I fooled with a vehicle this old and I don't want to make a fatal mistake.

BTW, thank you so much for the images, I would have never found the dipstick because it is black and it is tucked up under the spark plug wires. I really appreciate your help.

Right on the very front of the valve cover is the oil cap, behind it there will be your pcv.
