Question for JeepHammer
Hi Hammer,
I have a question for you about the TeamRush upgrade. I tried to pm you but it was full. I have a CJ7 1979 with the 258. You list the autolite wires as p/n 96171 but I can't get those here in California. Autozone and Kragen don't have them and I can't buy them online from Advance Auto. I've got everything else but the wires. I can't even find a place to order them online. In you pic on the post you show some that are p/n 96624 but they are from a jeep. What do you suggest I buy? Anything besides the MSD? I would love part numbers if you can give them to me... Thanks for helping, I am looking forward to starting the upgrade. Mike

I saw those, but that's what I was asking Hammer about. Those are specific to Jeeps....I thought they were supposed to fit the 82 Ford F150 application. Did you use those when you did the upgrade?? Mike |

Anyway, What you are looking for, WITH FACTORY CANISTER COIL, Look for '79 Ford F-150 Pickup with 300 CID I-6 Engine. They will fit the cap and coil correctly. WITH E-CORE COIL, Any Jeep newer than '94 with 4.0L engine will give you the correct wire set for a 258 engine.
