Well, I heard back from the guy rebuilding the engine. He had to salvage a new block from an S-10. HE tested it for oil pressure, 50lbs. Dont know if that is good or not.

Little more action, I've been enjoying the Florida summer a little too much, need to hit the garage. Hopefully I can be cruising by Spring....

Nice shot of the hood after aircraft paint remover. Worked extremely well. That stuuff is wonders.

Door handles for the half doors painted with chassis black.

Here are a few odds and ends in the "high performance garage closet". Now accepting sponsors.

So I just got back from my body guys shop, and he is doing an perfect job with the body work. Not only is the outside straight as an arrow, the interior is getting a primo treatment. I told him that I was planning to do a little linex inside and that he didnt have to make it perfect... just weld a few holes, bang some metal straight, cut-weld, and toss some bondo...nothing needs to be perfect. Well, he decides that he is going to do is make it perfect. Everythng is welded, grinded, bondo'ed, and primed. Just beautiful.

Problem is, that I dont have the heart to linex it now.

Yeah...probably looks awesome now, but think of the linex as a protector to keep her looking great.

I know what you mean though. Decisions decisions.

So here I am at the University of South Florida Digital Educators Workshop. I am learning all kinds of cool stuff that will allow me to be really good at making movies on a Mac.

Everything is lookin good buddy...personally, I would like to see a brown CJ with some orange and yellow decals---I think I saw the look on an old FJ---I'll try and find it and send you the link.

I will be back in town this weekend. CG

Here ya go bud--this is the link to the color code page for cool cruisers.

http://coolfj40.stores.yahoo.net/colorcodes.html

I like, and this is in no specific order: Freeborn Red, Olive Brown, I love Pumkin Orange, If ya gotta go copper--go with the Dark Copper.

There are some more colors mention on the page that are not pictured--I'll keep looking---get back to me on this stuff---it's important---CG

Collard,
nice suggestions. I like that mustard yellow coloro, olive brown color. I gotta see dark copper in person though...
Let me know whatever else you find. Its all open at this point.

I did spend Saturday at the body shop, working on the jeep.
No pics, my g/f has the camera.

But, I did bolt up the fenders, grill and hood to see how it all fit. thought it might not work well, being the tub was a yj, the hood is my original, the grill is from an Iowa trucker, and the fenders are aftermarket stock.

Looked pretty good. hard to tell without it being on the frame... no bad suprises so it went well. It looks like I will be tweaking a little when painted.

I love the build and have spent the last 30 minutes looking at all the pages. My question is, how over budget are you?
