Is the Herc somewhat soft? Can you feel it compress if you push a finger down on it hard enough? I've heard that it can get really rubbery and sticky on hot days...don't know if I like that...but I could probably deal with it over spending $400 more for Line-X.

Sweet*** ride is a BIG understatement! VERY NICE!!! How do you get the edges perfectly straight? I was told when I had my truck sprayed with LINEX that they use a tape with a wire in it that cuts the coating when pulled off. Never seen it though.

Well, if they won't let you post your muscle car built on this site, you better put the link to it in your sig here!

Amazing job!

Wow what an amazing project! I've been following it for a while, and i'm still in awe.

I'd like to incorporate your idea for side hitch recievers into my jeep eventually. They would allow the mounting of removable frame sliders, and also some lower side steps for DD use.

What do you think about using an inner tube from a bicycle tire?

I am thinking about using that as the insulator in the joint areas

It's a little bit thinner than the stuff I'm going to use but still should do the trick. All you're looking to do is disrupt the transfer of vibration from tub to fender.

Wow....I've been reading through all your various Project ____ threads. Amazing stuff. Just incredible.

Btw, is that a Suburu Baja bed I keep seeing throughout these? I usually get made fun of every time I mention my fondness for them around Jeep guys. Glad to know someone else on here appreciates them!
