I like yours better PEEH. It looks a little sleaker. I think I am going to look at doing pods on column for tach and maybe a speedo too. I'm not sure. I hate looking to the center to see **** but if you're just wheeling that's not that big a deal.

Ok, so I'm thinking that since I have the high volume Blazer fan, I'll just duct the defroster into the cage. Then I'll drill 1/2" holes every 6 inches into the dash bar pointed at the windshield. Now I have as much room behind the dash as I need.
![]() Kidding. I think I'm going to with this layout and set them flush: ![]()

I agree, I like yours better PEEH. It was more work to blend all of those tubes and all but I think the end result looks better.

Nice cage fatman. I think I'll be building something like that soon. At least before it does some serious wheeling.

FAtman,
I like layout. You might be able to just space them out maybe 1/2" to clear the duct. I also like the idea of routing the defrost through the cage. I think it could be done with a little preplaning, but for now, probably too late. Let the next guy try it, unless you want to tear apart the cage now. What size guages you running? Is that the 2" for the small ones and 3-3/8" on the large, or the next size up? PEEH |

Why are you at the computer today? You said you laid out today to work on the JEEP, not answer all these questions. HAHA

Guages are 2 1/8" & 3 3/8" units. Going to cut them with a plasma and a hole guide. ![]()

Looks like you will be fine then. The area behind there will probably not be an issue, if that is the bezel size. I cut mine with a hole saw, I don't have a plazma (dreaming). Be careful not to oversize them, the little brackets that keep the guages in are not that strong, and could slip through if the hole is too big. Still looks good though, I like that layout. That would have gotten in the way of my heater controls.
