just getting frustrated on the engine search.
i found a LS6 motor and 4l60e tranny and talk to the guy selling it a few times, Then this weekend when I wanted to pull the trigger on it the guy tells me he decided to keep it.
there is a few LT1's around and plenty of 5.3's but I want something more. And the WOW factor!
Does anyone know a line on a pullout LS1, LS2, or ls6? or maybe a built LQ9?
1) Your house needs jacks.
2) You need a Waggy front end hanging off your gable end.
3) That thing's gonna need outriggers.
4) Your wife will have to get down on her hands and knees so you will have a step UP.

But the right word at the right time... "Hey, give me a little hug!" That's the difference between lightning and a harmless lightning bug!
I've spent the last 2hrs reading and looking at your jeep restoration and all i can say is impressive work. Im headed in the same direction with my 85 cj7, im currently installing a 4" lift and 35" MT. Keep up the good work and i will follow updates.
Careful welding your mounts in before you get your motor. You want to mock in the engine with the tranny and t case to make sure everything clears. You will also want to mount your LS as far to the driver side as possible. I got mine over so the alternator clears the steering by about a half inch. On the other side the front drive shaft clears the tranny pan on the 4l60e by about a 1/8" with a 1.25" driveshaft.
