Procomp lift question. CJ5 1980

For all of you have messed with your suspension i have a question. my leaf to frame bushings seem to not have full contact. the mount looks like its bending in to touch the bushing as well. just wondering if i should throw a washer in between there. take a look for your self.

Would not hurt to shim with a washer. May be hard to get one in there though. Looks fairly tight to me. With leaf spring suspension and no track bars you are going to get some lateral movement in the springs and it gets worse the higher the lift and skinnier the leaf (2' CJ vs 2-1/2" YJ). That is another reason why I plan to up grade to YJ springs in the future. Anyway, I think you will be OK either with or without the washer. Other than the obvious (replace all loose and worn suspension and steering parts), make sure your caster is positive about 6-8* and you will have a much more manageable jeep.

Thank you so much. LT1CJ7 yes it came with the sleeve in already. Outnumbered- I was able to bend the mount out a bit with a bolt and was able to get the washer in there. looks nice and flush now.
