Here it is. When I look at it in the daylight, it doesn't look any more exposed than the return line connection. Picked up the part from NAPA, I can't really ID the part number, nothing shows up when I cross reference numbers that came with it.

Looks good to me. Pretty close to matching the fitting next to the new one.
I do coat the threads with anti-seize.
Hope your using a flare-nut wrench on those fittings.

Nothing to worry about there. The threads don't seal anything, the oring does all of the work.

That was THE worst job in the history of worst jobs. I got everything buttoned up, and after a quick warm-up run, noticed my petcock was leaking and there's a little bit of weeping around the fitting at the box. Figured since things warmed up a bit, it may be loose. Got another 1/2-1 turn into it when it was hot. I'll keep an eye on it The petcock is par for the course, there's an O-ring there that doesn't seal well, so I'll worry on it tomorrow.

Think I've got this thing licked... Thanks again, all.
