Here are the "twins". My 85 CJ7 (see mods in my signature line), and my dad's 85 Scrambler. Will post pics of my 85 CJ7 "wife's ride" soon, and it's another green/spice job.

I was really looking for a stock CJ7 when I bought this 2 months ago. Deal was too good to pass up (and the chick I bought it from looks like Jennifer Garner). It came with a 3 or 4" lift (I think) and 32" tires. I'm not really a lift kind of guy. I just couldn't stand living in NC and not having a soft top. This is my 3rd Jeep. First two were:
87 Wrangler (totaled in ice storm)
78 CJ7 (didn't want to transport it from PA to NC ... had 3 cars and a u-haul with 2 drivers)

Picking up a "free" XJ soon. Will probably turn around and sell it to pay off latest CJ7 . Besides, jeeps shouldn't have permanant tops. It's just wrong.

Here is our 1983 CJ7, 360, 5 speed. I bought it 2 days ago

More pics

It needs a new powersteering pump, carb & a bunch of seals changed. Hopefully I can make it to the JY tomorrow.

Jadams68 and Diggs, could you please post the green color name or paint codes for your Jeeps? We've been agonizing over colors for our 78 CJ5 and yours look really nice. Thanks!

heres my stocker
it was originally a hardtop Renegade but you cant tell because the original owner ditched the hardtop for a soft top and repainted it and cheaped out on the decals
so i guess its up to me to bring it back to its original glory
i have a 4" lift that i was going to put on it this month but i hit my sisters friends car and now i cant buy the tires, brakelines, and pitman arm for a while

I picked the color when I saw another jeep with it. It's 2001 ford slate green base coat with clear coat dupont cromabase paint.

HTH. diggs.
