Bought it from a local shop "Atlantic Engine Exchange, in Lynn MA", who bought it from Marshall Engines out in Nebraska.

Yeah we thought the same thing yesterday.. I dunno why they did that. I'll probably give it a nice scuff and I have some acetone that will make short work of the paint. Thanks for the heads up however!

Coming along pretty well. One question? Why did you leave the fenders on it?
Having them off during the install will make your life easier and faster time wise.

I dunno, didn't really give any thought to removing them. We didn't have any problem at all working over them. It's about 90% back together now, more pics coming soon!

Where's your glass shop at ? I was born an raised in a glassshop in central conn. Now living in N.W. Arizona Suggestion if you really don't like the alum. valvecover spray it then when pain is dry, scuff the raised ribs on top with sandpaper an get the alu showing there for a nice 2 tone custom look.
Good luck with the rebuilding effort, I'll be in the same boat soon with an 81 Laredo

The shop is located in Peabody, MA. (Peabody Glass Co., Inc.) You can tell it was a glass shop from some of the pictures, eh? Half the work was done in the glass shop and the other half was done in an auto trim shop next door.. they have more power tools.

What was the name of the shop you grew up with? The only shops I know of down in CT are US Glass, Curved Glass (US's parent company), and Woonsocket Glass...
