Picked up a 78 CJ7 for parts

My son and I found this on craigslist and offered the guy $800. It has original seats (Levi style), original steel wheels, 304 with smog equipment still installed, A/C. The tub is trash, but the drive train is in great shape. We drove it around and on the trailer. I believe the mileage is correct. Notice the AMC label on the ignition module hanging on the drivers side. Came with a new windshield frame and everything you see in the pics.
We have an 84 CJ7 that we needed a drive train for so we got it.

Just a question about the Levi edition seats. The passenger and rear seat are in great shape other than needing cleaning. What would be a good price to put on them if we decide to sell them?

would you be interested in selling the whole thing minus the drivetrain you need?

No. We are in the process of taking all the good parts off of her now. When we're done the only thing we'll have left is the rusted out tub which appears to be 80% bondo. We have 3 other CJ's to use the parts on.

The Levis seats are getting harder and harder to find in good condition. Ballpark? In the $3-500 range for both, not including shipping.

You think you have problems, try finding some in Australia... I have the Levi edition car but not the original seats

We plan on cleaning them up this weekend and taking some better pictures. I'll post them here 1st. Any recomendations on the best way to clean them?

I've had really good luck using brake cleaner - spray it on a rag, then apply with mild scrubbing on the seats. ASAP after the brake cleaner, apply a generous amount of vinyl/leather spray (armorall, maguires, etc) and rub it in. The brake cleaner will clean well, but dries the heck out of vinyl if you don't treat afterwards.

I cleaned up a set of Laredo seats this way and was very happy with the outcome.

Any chance you could ship them to VooDoo?!?
