PCV Issue

I have a 1984 CJ7, 258, with a carter BBD. My engine has two PCVs, one front and one rear. My rear PCV is connected to a hose that is connected to nothing. There is no way that this is correct. My carb has an aftermarket air cleaner, so no hookups there. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

The rear is an open elbow intake that should have an air filter on it. They sell ones you can just plug into the hole.

That's wrong-
That rear one should be a hose go'n to the A/F housing.
Here's how it should look, if you have all the SMOG stuff still.

Thanks for the link. The only problem is that I don't have the stock air filter housing, although there are times that I wish I did.

The PCV valve should have hose running to the carburetor's manifold vacuum connection. This draws vapor out of the crankcase. The other hole in the valve cover should connect to a filter of some type, either on the factory air filter housing or just a breather that you stick into the valve cover, as mentioned above. This allows filtered outside air into the crankcase.

I'll take a picture of what I'm working with once the weather clears up.
