Jiminy that came out well, Paul. Unbelieveable! And the zip-tie trick... just stick a straight piece up in there? I am so GLAD you shared that.

Paul the headlight buckets look nice and so does the sheetmetal work. Glad to see you working at it!

Yeah man.... I was surprised how well it worked.

It is a beautiful spring day here in northern Virginia! Headed out to the garage to get some things done.... I feel some motivation coming on.....

Spent the day sand blasting, painting and powdercoating. Can't wait till I have nothing left to blast. Hours of blasting and 10 minutes of powdercaoting is annoying!! Guess I could buy a better blaster. Maybe some day. Bigger pieces I am just gonna outsource. Nothing spectacular to see but everyone loves pics so here are a couple. May put the tub on its side tomorrow and finish removing undercoating.

Finished stripping the undercoating off the YJ tub. Used a needle scaler and it worked well. Just very time consuming but less of a mess than aircraft stripper. Ready to send it off to the media blaster. I noticed a few pin holes in some of my repairs but I will fill those when it comes back from blasting.

Your parts are looking great Paul. I know what you mean about the sandblasting. I did buy a good blast cabinet that has the pressurized tank and can tell you it works better than I could have imagined it would. Tub bottom turned out clean too.

Thanks Jim! I think I am going to drop the tub on the rolling chassis today and test fit things. This alone will be a challenge. I have a chain hoist connected to a steel I-beam through the garage that I use to lift the tub. Need to empty the garage and see if I have enough room to spin the chassis 180* to drop it on.
