Is the shortage all over the country? I live in the DC metro area and nobody has any .223. Had the FIL check in WVA and nothing there either. I hope the manufacturers ramp up production.

Paul this all started when obama was first elected. We know at some point the gun grab would come. I'm sure the thoughts range from I want to get enough ammo to last me in case they bann the sale of it, which is selfish in my opinion to those that think we're heading for an armed revolt.

Now the Senate and obama are trying to push gun control in some form and none of it's good. None of it addresses the criminal element that cause things like what happened in the school in Conn.

I'm not saying any more out of respect for you and this thread but I suggest you do some research and if you want somewhere to start I can pm you some links. Also you can go to the NRA's website and find out more. http://home.nra.org/#/nraorg

All I know is nobody is taking my guns. I have had them 20+ years and they are staying right here.

And stop buyinng up all the ammo!!!! Apparently gov agencies have been buying up a ton of ammo. They need to cut that out too!!!

makes you wonder what people are doing with all the ammo they are purchasing? I know people arent buying it to hand over to the gestapo, and they arent burning it up at the range.

Our local police department has a 10 month waiting period for ammo!!! Law enforcement agencies are also feeling the ammo pinch. Not something I had considered before, but I think it's significant. But it's not just ammo shortages. It's also reloading supply shortages. Certain powders are dang near impossible to get at the moment.

No Jeep work yet, but I am close. May start back this week. need to finish up the tub!!! Actually, I did cleanup the garage in prep for work to resume. And I finally bought a straight tailgate so I can drill the holes inn my YJ tub

In the meantime, went to a gun show yesterday and picked up an Israeli Jericho 941.

Started back at work last Monday. First week back was different. It should get better with time.

Dave, it's a 9mm all steel frame. Was gonna get it in .45 but want the wife to be able to handle it and the 9 should be fine. She did not like shooting the FILs XDS. The Jericho has a nice weight and feel/balance in my hand. Can't wait to shoot it next week. The NRA Headquarters has a public range in their basement. 15/hr for the range. It is very nice.

I just traded out of a Kahr PM40, I bet the XDs 45 is a handful!

The range sounds nice.

For dang sure a good looking pistol! I really like the lines. Never heard of it, though. Need a full report.

Glad to hear you are back at work, Paul. Take it slow and easy, Bud.

Good to hear you well Paul. That kinda has lines like a Baby Eagle. I think the Eagle line is Israeli as well.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

The Baby Eagle and the Jericho 941 are one in the same. I don't much care for the "baby eagle" name. Magnum Research renamed the Jericho when they imported it from Israel in hopes to capitalize on the Desert Eagle name.

It feels good to be back to normal health. That was a long 5 months!!!!

OK, it's time to get back to it. I need to replace this section of floor board. There are spot welds underneath at the rear that are easy enough to drill. Where it meets the edge of the tub is another story. I don't think there is enough room to get drill and cutter in there to break the spot welds. Should I try to drill from inside the lip or from the outside through the tub?
