I was digging through some old boxes of stuff last night and ran across this old Polaroid. This was my DD for most of the 80s. I should have never sold that car.

Nope, you shouldn't have sold it. I say the same thing about my '69.

Burn is just about gone. Couple places with reduced feeling but all good. Gash in my finger is healing nicely. Got home from FL yesterday. Took today off to work on the cj. Thanks for asking Bill.

Good to hear you are healing up.

Do you have anyone complain they can't hear you when talking on the Galaxy?

I have the Infuse and I get complaints constantly.

Thanks Dave. It is a work phone and have only have the S3 for about a month now. Have not had anyone say anything about voice quality yet. But a lot of times I am using it in my car on my BT hands free device.

I wish Dave! Ones that are a POS go for a lot of money.

Last thing I plan to do to this rolling chassis before I push it aside and start on the tub is fire the engine for the first time and break it in. I want to make sure nothing leaks or blows up before everything is together. Dug out my wood rotisserie I made when I painted the frame and will make a firewall to mount some gauges, Howell computer, etc. Here is mock up and probably what I will roll with. Will start setting up basic wiring this weekend. On/Off power switch and my remote starter switch will get things going. I gutted my old distributor to prime the engine.

Good idea on getting the engine running Paul. Easier to fix anything with the tub off. Hope the burn is getting better too.

I don't know if you've looked at the "worlds ugliest AMC 360" thread or not. It's a good read, basically a 360 was rebuilt, a decision was made by the thread starter to take it to a Dyno shop, instead of putting it in the Jeep. Things didn't go to good on the Dyno, it's sounded as if the engine was to "tight". Along with some other problems. This saved removing the engine from the Jeep. If I ever rebuild another engine, it will be started before installing.

I think starting up now is a excellent idea!

Yeah, I have been following Matt's build. I just read today about his dyno experience and I got to say it has me nervous about firing this thing. I have been over everything in my head a 100 times. Did I torque this, did I do this/that. I have to hope my OCD will pay off shortly. There will be a video of the first start good or bad.

Welcome home Paul. Did you have a good visit?

Can't wait to hear it crank up. I noticed when we started ours it created a lot of smoke from off the block. I guess the paint was "burning in"?? Don't know what it was, but it lasted a bit.
