thanks that would be great. I figured making it was the simplest way. Thanks for letting me look over your shoulder, build looks great.
Powder coating looks great. saving up for a gun. I'm really tired of spray cans.

Is this the OEM hanger just after the muffler?
Looks to be the one!

Sorry Keith, what I REALLY meant to ask is that the hanger for here. My rear hanger, which I assumed was OEM, looks more like a Z.

Hard to see in the photos but it is similar to the rear but wraps around on a plate with two mounting holes.

Here is the one I made last year. Welded couple of allthread couplers to 2 muffler clamps, bent up some galvanized sheet and there it is. But you are in luck that Keith's latest post has a pic of the one he made. Much nicer than mine. I think during this rebuild I will make mine out of some thicker steel.

Had a little time tonight so I assembled hubs to new rotors. Since the front shafts are new Yukons I wanted to make sure I could get the snap ring on the end of the axles before I packed the bearings and hubs full of grease. Assembled each side without the grease seal, bearinngs lightly oiled and a little nudge with a pry bar was able to get everything assembled correctly. Will take it apart tomorrow and pack everything and do final assembly.

Always good to mock up before final assembly. I have read where guys have had problems with the lockout bolts coming loose while using 4wd.
And I have had this happen. The studs don't have a problem with coming loose, I'm not sure why. The best bet would be to google Dana 30 lockouts studs or bolts, I also think they use locktite when putting the studs in.

I would not have thought to prefit everything. Smart! Paul, I see trash on your floor! And I'm jealous of your new Yukons.

Paul and Keith - Thanks for the PICs. My mounting brackets rusted away and I could not imagine how to make that connection. Now I see.

I could take my front brakes apart 1000 times and every time I would look at the anti-rattle clips with a blank stare! Can anyone tell me if I have these stupid things innstalled correctly?

Ahhhh crap. Just saw a pic from Jscherb and looks like I have them upside down. Stupid clips.

It's a bit early to be thinking about colors but I thought I had narrowed it down to slate blue, garnet red or some desert tan. Well today I saw a Dodge charger in what I believe was Toxic Orange Pearl after spending some time on google. I really like this color and think it would look great with black accents that I have been planning.

Although my AMC blue engine may clash.

AMC Blue engines only ENHANCE, and never clash! Cool color. There are a lot of variations of it right now.
