Parking Brake Assembly replacement

I was wondering if anyone here has had to replace their foot brake in their rigs and what (if any) modifications you may have made. My parking brake no longer holds as the teeth have worn down and replacement parts are in short supply. I have a new SSB read disc kit and I'd love to have a parking brake again while wheeling. For that matter, while DD too!
Has anyone ever swapped a FJ pull-lever style into a Jeep and if so where did you source the parts? I'd love to free up the room in the footwell and have better control while wheeling. IMHO this is one area the FJ had a better design. Thanks all!

What a PAIN!!!

Tough one you have here... Parking Brakes are a must on the trail and I can't imagine having this issue to work through.

I know of some after-market replacement systems, but not sure if that will work with your rig.

Keep me posted...

Lokar makes one that mounts to their transmount automatic shifter but its pricey. Its what I am going to use. My second choice was to find a floor mount lever in the boneyard that has a similar pull distance as the stock pedal.

Yeah, the center console pull lever is about the best placement, but I would have been happy with a pull handle under the dash like an FJ as that is the second best placement in my opinion. But several members have responded so far with possible stock replacement units which will work fine. I would not want to give up my huge center console for a parking brake anyway... :-)
