You don't what BLACK in your Texas sun/heat.
Tan/white or the like are way better choice.

It's not so bad. Mine was originally black. When I painted it, it heat cured the paint . I've got tan Smittybilt seats and roll bar cover that would probably clash with the desert tan. Haven't seen anyone try those two out together.

IMNSHO, those 2 tans would look great on a Jeep.

That is AMC "sand tan"? Looks cool, is the reddish/yellowish color from that due to the pictures themselves? Got any more?

Thanks it's the first time I've ever tried to paint! My dad actually sprayed it but he has only painted one jeep and that was about 30 years ago! I got the paint from a local paint shop owned by my moms cousin they use the limco paint idk how good it is compared to others cause like I said I've never painted before but it came out nice I think!

Theres a link to some photos of mine. Maybe that is the color you are looking for. I like it and I am pretty sure it is the original paint.

Black jeeps in south Texas sun IS horrible. That's why we are painting our cj tan. My black yj is 130-140 inside after work and the wife's jku stays at 110 at the roll bars, even with the ac on max. Her hardtop is black and her jeep is silver. It sucks

I don't feel like working on anything, at this time.

That's why I ditched the black soft top for a white hard top. The A/C just cannot compete with the heat & sun here in the South.

oh, you're in Corpus. Need to head North to SAT with little to no humidity! The temp inside is a little cooler than in the sun thanks to the shade from the bikini top and always a slight breeze blowing through. Rest of the family is set on black. They said the only other color I should paint it would be OD.
