Paintable grill overlay?

My grill is in ok condition but im getting ready for a paint job and want to find an overlay since it does have some rust spots. I would like one that could be painted body color. I have the laredo stainless one that was on it. Has anyone painted one of these? A fiberglass overlay would be perfect but they dont seem to exist.

You'd be better off holding on to that overlay you have (it's chrome, and depending on condition is worth $100-200), pulling your grill and painting it. It ain't that hard to do, if you can put a soft top on you can pull the grill.

10-4 on the laredo overlay.

Can the grill part be removed without the whole radiator support? Or is it all one piece?

Wouldn't the painted grill cover above restrict cooling air? I would imagine in FL you need all the air flow you could get. My winch gets in the way and restricts air flow and I have to take it off in the Summer time. Just wondering.

Nope, it's all one piece.
