Paint roll bae

Anyone have any advice on painting the main rol bar? I want to paint it black, but not sure what type of paint to use or if there is a good or bad way to do it.

I painted mine with Rustoleum Premium, gloss black. I took it out first and gave it a light sanding, then cleaned it up with a little xylene. It's held up really well other than a couple of scratches from normal use. You could have it powder coated if you want to spend the money - that'd be best.

I have been using VHT epoxy paint on surfaces I want to keep black. Man! This paint is awesome. I used it on my draw bar, then used the bar for a step on several occasions. Its tough as nails. The only scratches are from the safety chain for my trailer.

Prep is most important as always, but this stuff is great. Get it most anywhere.

^^^^ X2 on the VHT paint! I use it on just about everything. Almost like Por-15 in a spray bomb!

I sand blasted mine then used the metal ready, por 15, and then chassis coat in the spray can. Came out nice I thought.
