Painless harness, headlight issue.

I got my painless harness all hooked up and only a couple issues so far. I followed the terrible directions online but the headlights don't come on with the pull knob but they do come on when you turn the brightness up on the dash lights!

Does anyone have a diagram for which wire does what on the headlight switch?

If you're using the factory headlight switch these are the connections per a 'tech at painless'

728 red/black to (B1)
707 blue/yellow to dimmer (H)
729 brown to tail (T)
727 brown to park (wire 729 and 727 together on P)
730 to dash lighting (D)
759 orange to (B2)

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.

I've spent about 2 hours following this and other diagrams from here on Jeepforum and all I have for lights is headlights and brake lights. :/
I don't have power to any post in the back of the switch but the main power terminal the headlight terminal and then I have an orange wire "battery b+" that is hot all the time but I can't figure out which terminal it's supposed to go to.

Stupid "Painless" harness should have just stayed stock! I don't have wipers, clock or tach. No marker light, turn signals, tail lights or dash lights.

Here's a pic showing which post the orange wire goes to.

Hey Motiv8, I'm going to be trying to complete this this weekend. Could you tell me which wire number you put to which terminal like left to right and top to bottom, with the knob being in the same orientation as pic you gave me?

Row, My wiring is all sealed up under there now. I did post the painless wiring diagram on page 35 of my build thread though. I'm on my iphone otherwise I would be able to give you the exact post #. It has what you need, 12a - 12d, it was a typo but that's where it goes. Hope that helps

I have lights! Once I ripped off the plug and just attached the wires to the switch individually it was pretty simple to follow your initial instructions.

Hmm I had been seeing your build thread for a while popping up but I didn't realize it was yours. Your Jeep is coming along quite nicely!
