Coils were reasonable, considering. you'll also need bolts and mounting tabs and hoops/towers.
Well on that same site, they have King shocks with springs for like $100 more...

To be honest, I may not be baja racing, but I certainly plan to design a baja inspired suspension, again, eventually. Too many other things to design first.

I am not much into rock crawling, and I live in VA beach now, it is pretty flat, so I basically want to build a suspension that is meant for high speed, getting some air, fully capable of handling the weight of my 4BT if I do get some air, and all around driving like a wanna-be baja driver

have you guys ever seen the evo cantilever coil spring suspension on JKs

I really want to do this on my YJ if for nothing more than it is different...

anywho, sorry for jacking your thread.....

I agree on going w leafs for now, trust me you have a lot of other things to worry about to get that thing moving under its own power first. But like I said, I would go with maybe 1.5" more lift in the front.

Yea I agree I have allot of thing to build fab customize before I can even take this thing down the street. I would love to use the EVO coilovers and do a four link. but for now I'm going to concentrate on building this machine with leafs and yes I'm going to add a leaf or two to the front springs. I'm going to do some fabbing on it this weekend will post some pics of my progress.

Well I finished welding the front bumper up and welding in the new spring mounts, and started welding it to the frame.

Dre40,

I'm enjoying your build, and I'm envious of your fab skills.

That front shackle setup looks bomb proof!! Strong work, my friend.

Matt

Dre are you going to put a stop on your shackles so they can't invert and bind up?

I haven't seen a #3 wash tub in years!!!

Well this build is going slow.. but now that the cooler weather is coming I can start to weld on her again with out sweating to death lol. Need to fabricate the motor mounts and test fit the engine in-between the frame rails. Does anyone have dimensions of how far back the firewall is from the end of the frame rail? So I can mock it up with out having to put the Tub back on?
