Jeep markets a military model called the J8 to Egypt. Think AEV Brute but with the heavy duty parts and diesel engine it should have.

Like the Brute but more of a total package deal.

I'm hard pressed to count the CJ10 in with the actual CJ jeeps only because it is in reality an FSJ frame and drive line with a mutated CJ cab and nose stuck on. It would be like trying to slip a FSJ Cherokee onto a scrambler frame and calling it a scrambler.

The J8 doesn't seem like a "real" pickup to me. It has a side-swinging rear gate like a Wrangler instead of a vertically swinging tailgate like a CJ or a real pickup, and the bed area is part of the passenger compartment just like a Scrambler.

The Gladiator concept is a real pickup:

Yes, very true... but Gladiators are Gladiators and sadly I don't see the gladiator concept as a worthy successor. As a truck I'm sure it does alright but it's gotta have class and style:

If you look at the image close enough you can hear it rust before your eyes.

i saw a really nice conversion of a TuG to a Pickup,,, with the ocean in the background one day, but i cannot find it, it had a bed on it that looked perfect, im thinking of possibly doing this build.... i realize its not exactly a CJ, im just throwing the ideas around,,, i wanna build something Different.... unless Jeep is finally gonna come out with a real Truck with a standard bed that looks Very jeepish.
