an original steering wheel

has anyone tried a steering wheel restoration kit? the original one is cracked and faded. I'm just worried about whatever paint I spray it with fading or coming off. I may buy a new one altogether.

I believe anything you paint it with will just rub/wear off. When I redo my 75, I will be looking for a better one off of Ebay, as mine is big time out of round, OR getting a new one. I haven't pulled a pre 76 wheel, anyone know size/splines......interchanges with?

I am thinking you are right, it will just fade wear and make me mad in the future. I have been anal about the whole project this far I might as well buy a new one. Thanks
