Original CJ Info

Does anyone know of any thorough sources of original original CJ information? This forum may be the best answer, but the more common theme here seems to be modification, and I am looking more for restoration than modification. I did just receive an original sales brochure for 1981 (the year of my jeep), but it focused mostly on the Renegade and Laredo trim packages and not so much on the bare bones CJ5 with a side mount spare like mine. Info I'm looking for is paint code for vintage red, soft top colors available with that body color, wheel styles and colors available with that color, interior options and configurations, etc. I did learn a lot about what was available in 81 from the brochure, but I'm still looking for fine details so if anyone knows where the restorers go with their questions, could you please push me in that direction? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I use jeep-CJ.com - they have a good amount of info on there for different editions, transmission, transfercases, engines, different equipment offered per year etc. But i like this forum better for the community and such. This site has much higher traffic so in turn it has more available resources from our comminity than most.

Lots of purists over on CJ-8.com. It's a Scrambler site but most of the guys over there have multiple Jeeps!
