One piece front end clip - Latch?

Have a one piece fiberglass front end on my 60 CJ 5. It is hinged to tilt forward and am looking for some idea on how to fabricate a latch for it. Right now I have a set of hood hinges on the top side with a removable pin. Works OK but is a pain. Also need some idea on what to use to keep the clip from tilting all the way forward and resting on the bumper. Thought of just using a small chain but it will rattle. Any ideas will be appreciated!

I used the stock hinges and just went up with mine. It works well and clears my winch and driving lights. I then used the stock latches repositioned down at the bottom corner by the door with a backing plate to hold it solid.
