One piece front end

Just bought a Jeep with a fiberglass one piece on it. When I have the hood opened I have to put it to the windshield in its current configuration. I want to add gas shocks to open and hold it. Has anyone done this? If so, let me know how it worked out for you, where you purchased the cartridges. I really don't want to reinvent the wheel. Any ideas are welcome.

There is a kit out there for this.

Look on or give them a call.
