One piece front end

Just bought a Jeep with a fiberglass one piece on it. When I have the hood opened I have to put it to the windshield in its current configuration. I want to add gas shocks to open and hold it. Has anyone done this? If so, let me know how it worked out for you, where you purchased the cartridges. I really don't want to reinvent the wheel. Any ideas are welcome.

There is a kit out there for this.

Look on 4wd.com or give them a call.

I bought my gas shocks and ball sockets from www.mcmaster.com I bought shocks that are 50 lbs of force. My jeep hood tilts forward and it is the humj hood .But, It works real well. Holds it up well. The shocks and ball sockets costed about $50
