now the damn fuel pump is hitting it. I swear, that bump stop is the bane of my existence. I was kicking around just buying a bosch fuel pump and mounting it off my block. I think this headache just made my mind up for me. lol

Can do. I wanted to do a build thread, but got too lazy. But I will throw pictures up here for you (when it's getting done that is). welding might have to wait till monday, cause it's getting pretty late.

i did the swap with novaks, had to remove the bumb stop.i used the lower bolt holes on the welded brackets to fab a bump bracket. then the fuel pump fit nicely, its worth the effort mine fit great it took location tweeking but the end product is huge!!!!!any questions just ask. i ll test my memory.

I was gonna get one of those bosch fuel pumps. They look like one of those 20oz beer cans and just mount it elsewhere, possibly somewhere under the tub and then just run braided steel lines 6AN to the carb. I'm gonna have nothing but braided steel for all hoses and lines. My primary concern is the motor mount bracket being exactly where that is. It looks like I can clear it from behind once I get that fuel pump off.
Is your bracket that is welded to the frame in the same place as that bump stop? or is it behind where it would have been? (since you removed yours)

i remember cutting it off cause engine placement is most important.dont let that bracket decide location i actualy waited 2 years before fabbing that mount! with a lift it should be fine.

BIG PETE;i just crawled under mine, the front of my bracket goes right down the center of the removed bumb stop bracket, there is another bump stop right there at the axle, so don't sweat the one you need to remove

if u have a 4" lift that particular bumpstop is worthless anyway unless you lower it. the pinion is too far away for it to work properly.

sWeet. That just made life a hell of a lot easier
I'll see if I can't cut it off tomorrow.
What transmission do you have? Cause I have an SM 465, and it looks like I'm gonna have to cut a new hold for my shifter about 6" in front of where stock was. Does this sound right?

That's what I'm hoping.

I haven't put it in place yet. I think it's just to the right (if looking at front of jeep) naturally, so I'm hoping that's the 1 1/4" I read about from them. Cause I'm not sure how else to know that 1 1/4" is attainable. I mean, unless they say that 1 motor mount is 1 1/4" longer than the other. Cause I have no idea exactly where the original sat in there. Surely it wasn't straight down the center.

i did not see the big deal about the 1 1/4 offset at first, but its due to the front driveshaft clearance, hope it goes smooth...........

You should be fine, you just really need to get the height and angle on the motor mounts for right now bc of the way Novak designed them you can move the motor over the 1.25" later if you need to and you even have a little height adjustment if needed.

Is your 350 a carb or TBI or TPI?

It's carb for now. I'm gonna run it for maybe a month before I go EFI with megasquirt. I want anything that goes wrong to go wrong wile it has the 4bbl on it, not after I go multipoint EFI
