Thx Matt, great thread btw

I've got the bushings ordered, also ordered the Warrior 4 degree shims per your recommendation and so she sits in the garage with the springs hanging, got the crabtree (http://www.crabtreetool.com/jeep%20products.html ) shackle hangers mounted, just need to put those bushings in and bolt everything up.

For the u-bolts, I'm flipping the rears by using u-bolt plates from an 85 Dodge 1/2 ton truck-any 80's 1/2 ton PU, van will work ( http://jeeptech.com/susp/ubolt.html ). Dodges have the 2.5" springs and its a perfect fit. Had some square u-bolts made by the local spring shop, $35 for all 4.. You need to cut off the shock mounting stud on the plates since it will be orientated too high. The plates fit right on top of the axle. I ordered new weld on shock mounting tabs(Ruff Stuff) ( http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/ ) since the shocks need a new mounting bracket. Just weld id to the axle tube up, and out of the way.

For the front u-bolt plates, I'm just going to move the rears to the front and slot the passenger side to fit the large u-bolt on the pumpkin side.

Here's a couple pics of the u-bolt plates and crabtree shackle hangers. I don't have the shock brackets yet, I'll post those up when I get them on.

Here's some pics of the Dodge u-bolt plates and crabtree hangers

You can see the front hangers(jimcrabtree) where the move the shackle upper pivot point about 1" forward to compensate for the longer YJ springs. I'm using the OME 036 springs per Matt at all 4 corners

Probably can't go wrong with either.....it's just preference. I like Bilstein because I had them on other vehicles. And like you say, they do ride pretty damn good with the OME leafs.

Mooncruiser,

I chose the OME shocks (N95) because they are supposed to be valved specifically for the OME springs. That's OME's whole sales pitch...their suspensions are designed to be a matched system, not just individual components.

The N95s are long-travel and are designed for 2-4" lifts, and didn't require moving any shock mounts.

It's been almost a year, now, since my lift install, and I'm still diggin' it. The Ol' Girl looks a little different with her new paint, and tires, though.

Matt- she looks awesome. Did you do the N95's all the way around?

One of the things I'm in the process of doing is I'm going to Monstaliner the tub in black and paint the exterior, white is one of the choices - looks great.

Thanks, I've put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the Ol' Girl over the last year. It's been satisfying doing all the work myself, including paint.

Yes, N95s all the way around with the heavy springs on all 4 corners, as well. It's a good combo, I'm sure you'll luv it.

Give the bed-liner thing a lot of thought. You'll get mixed opinions, but I chose to paint the interior, like factory, for the following reasons: I still haven't seen a bed-liner that cleans up well, especially if it gets a good mud bath. Yes, they look good when freshly installed, but not so much 2 years down the road. Also, the bed-liner makes possible future repairs a b!tch.

Just my $.02, and a pocket full of lint.

I just wanted to let you know I used Rocky Roads extended mounts on the front. The Bilsteins were a little long, so the mounts worked out perfect.
