Old CJ?

Not really an expert on the older Jeeps, so I'm not quite sure what this is:

CJ-3B? Maybe?

It's in the back lot of a local custom shop for months, a place that usually does low riders and the like.

I'm thinking about going and trying to rescue it, but I'm not sure where the tipping point is on the cost-benefit analysis.

What would you look for if you were looking at this Jeep?

Assuming pretty much worst case that I'd buy it in: Engine kaput, interior trashed, etc, etc... BUT solid body... what would you pay?

Yep, CJ3B.

F-134 engine...like every other CJ, check for rot anywhere/everywhere. They're worth saving, imo.

It looks like a cj3, possibly a cj2. As far as money?????? Good question. I guess you should look at listings in your area to see, then decide if you want it.

Good luck!!

I agree, I'd love to have a 3b sometime :)

Money-wise, they're rarely worth saving. But they're still worth saving, IMO, regardless.

For a minute there, the pepto pink color made me wonder if it were 64 or 65 surrey gala, but they had a little different body and the gas tank filled from the rear. The fellas above have it nailed. I think any Willys is worth saving. Check this out: http://www.off-road.com/blog/2010/09...minutes-video/
