We have probably all left a nut loose at some time so no need to feel bad about it.

My mechanic says I never tighten the nuts enough but I am not an ape.

I've done it twice. One time was in an Isuzu 4x4 P'up and when I discovered it I was at a Sears with a tire center about 10 miles from home (wheel was wobbling really bad, but was still on the truck.) I took it in for an estimate on replacing the wheel studs (the threads were chewed up) and they wanted over $100 bucks to do it. I told them to pound sand, got it towed home by AAA, and replaced them all for about $10.
