Oil pump fit

I need to replace a leaky oil pan gasket. I want to replace the oil pump while I'm in there. I want to put in a Melling high volume pump but after some research I'm concerned that it won't fit without modifying the oil pan. I think the regular Melling pump does not, but I'm concerned it won't help my low oil pressure issues. Modifying an oil pan is way beyond my skill level.

It will fit if you change out the pickup.

Got my 4.0 HV pump and 4.2 pickup from O'Reilly's

I'm away from the garage tonight...I'll see if I can find a number in the AM.

You can also reuse the old pickup if that helps.

I used a 4.0 HV Melling, and just reused my pickup tube.
The one for the 4.0 is alot cheaper for some strange reason.
No pan mods necessary.
