oil leak

i've got an oil leak on the input shaft of my power steering box(1976 cj-7).looks like the oilseal of the stub shaft is blown. am i in trouble or is this an easy repair? any exprience, all help is welcome.

There are two ways you can do this. first the short cut tricklace the box in a vise, remove the snap ring from the front of the seal. Take two long thin wood or sheet metal screws and CAREFULLY screw them into the seal, being sure not to nick the housing or stub shaft.grasp the screws with 2 pair of pliers and carefully pull the dust shield and seal from the housing.The second way is to remove the stub shaft adjuster plug and remove the seals with it off the box. Be sure to follow the dissambly/assembly procedures to properly adj. the preload while reassembling.

Unfortunately a very common problem with Power Steering in CJs
