oil on filter

took off the air filter today, and realized it had a massize amount of oil on it and around the plate. i believe this is due to the vacuum hose, that really isn't a vacuum, but pushes out black soot through it. how can i solve this?

The oil on the air filter is a sign of excessive crankcase blow-by. Have you checked the oil level lately?
