Off the shelf Carb options for 258

Hey guys-

I read until my head hurts. I have a 1974 258. I need a new carb for it. I'm not really interested in rebuilding a MC2100, and the eBay guy seems to have very mixed reviews.

Is there a true pull it off the shelf and bolt it on NEW carb for the 258 that will provide me with decent on the road performance. My Jeep will see mild trails but nothing hardcore.

Thanks
Josh

I recommend contacting Tom at Redline and ask for a Weber 38.

At your elevation, Redline's standard 38 jetting should make it virtually plug and play.

Got mine from eBay guy...performs great...and is a bolt on carb. Mine required a little bit of fine tuning, but that is to be expected with a carb.

I took my 38 out of the box 5 years ago, bolted it on and haven't touched it since.
