Looks like it. Factory will have the engine stamped on the back. Aftermarket are switchable.

Looks factory. Judging by the wiring, I'd guess it's for a 4cyl motor (6 and 8cyl had 2 big honking wires).

For someone in the market, I have seen them go for $50-75 on eBay in working order. That's what I paid for one as well.

I'd say it's at least worth calling the guy up and seeing what engine it's for. Should be easy enough for him to find out if he doesn't know - it should be stamped on the back.

Redline is 4500 - it could very well be for a 6 cylinder.

I looked at the Craigslist ad. There are two pictures and in one of them there are the two 10 ga red wires like the factory 6 cyl tach.
