Odd-Fire HEI Conversion Question

Hello All,
I have a 69 CJ5 with the Dauntless 225. While looking at parts on Checkers web site I saw that the Chevy 350 Distributor and an odd-fire 3.8l distributor had the same part number. I was wondering if I an use any HEI distributor and buy a new cap and rotor? Wouldn't the module pickups be different on an odd-fire. Any advice from someone who has already done this conversion would be a great help, I really hate points.

Pickup and reluctor are different on the odd fire.

There is also such thing as a semi-even fire, 229cid IIRC, not the same thing though.

It is not hard to find a Buick V6 even fire distributor and convert it.

If you need parts for an odd fire HEI, the interchange is '75 Buick Apollo with 231cid/3.8L
