i have an 82 cj7, i am not getting fuel into the pump, filter, or carb. I dont know much about jeeps last summer i put a new fuel tank in and there is also enough gas in the tank. my dad thinks its an electrical problem but i can tell its something wrong with the gas i took the line off the filter and nothing was coming out so can someone please help me
Remove the gas cap and the hose going into the fuel pump. the gas should be able to siphon out on its own without any restrictions. From there you can blow into the fuel line to possibly clear out any junk on the fuel pickup sock and check the fuel line for any kinks. Its possible for a bad fuel hose from the tank to the hard line also. There is also a tank breathing system that could be an issue. I would suggest a repair manual to check that.
