Newbie need help

I have a ’62 CJ ...either a 3 or a 5... 4cyl hurricane engine...when I accelerate in any gear it breaks up...loses power...I rebuilt carb, new plus, wires...compression even, set up timing... I did put on a used throttle body without a vacuum line that the old one had...could this be the problem?
