New Project?? '58 Willys

This old jeep has been parked down by the barn for about 30 years. Engine has been pulled. My dad has the title (somewhere) and says its a 1958. Worth restoring? I think its in pretty decent shape for sitting outside for 60 years haha.. Can you guys give me some more information about this thing? Dad didnt know much about it. Does anything look modified or does it look pretty close to stock? Thanks in advance!

No it's not, IMO. Unless you have money and time to burn.

I don't even see many salvageable parts, but there may be something.

As bad as the rust looks, the worst of it is on the backside or inside of the panels, hidden from view.

I wish you luck.

I call it a distributor, not a dizzy.

An early CJ5 with an F head 134 4 cylinder engine. Great combination.

It looks like a rust bucket but it depends on the frame. If the frame is good it could be salvaged but it is not a rare beast so not worth spending a lot of money, you could buy a good one for 5k.

Only way to tell is to pull it from the weeds and go over it. Parts are not worth a lot.
