optical illusion ha ha.. another fellow put them on, I reversed them before I took the pictures on the first page.. funny you spotted that so easily since I don't think there are any pictures posted with them on the passenger side? On a CJ-7, at least on this one, they have to point toward the drivers side when off..

I've had mine since 1996, so I've had lots of time and little projects over the years.

Interesting. I'm not too sure why yours are doing that, but they should be doing the opposite.

Pull the wiper motor and reclock the linkage. It's not a big deal just most people don't bother to correct it.

yeah, I went back and looked at my '75 and my '78 and they both had the wipers on the passenger side, makes sense that they wouldn't be in your line of vision, but this one was this way and if you put them over there, they will bury themselves in your cowl when you turn it on.. so, the mechanism must be hooked up wrong, guess next time I have the top off, I'll take a dive into that..

can you do that just by removing the wiper motor cover, or do you have to get to the entire mechanism?

You pull the cover, then the wiper motor bolts. Once you get that loose, its easy to see how it functions. I think I have seen exploded view diagrams on the web before. You might look that up first to see how it goes together. It's kinda tight work but not a big deal.
