New paint advice

Thinking about changing the color of my 65 cj. It's been ford tractor red since I've had it. Thinking about painting it glossy olive drab with a red or black grill. I think it'd look **** hot. Prolly paint the rims red too

My hood flew up and hit the wind shield so had to fix that and the paint will never match

Got her done. Few spots to sand and fix. Then clearcoat it. Turned out pretty good and costs me less than 40$

Nice choice. That red looks GREAT on her. So you did base/clear? I've painted three Jeeps and that's my preferred method, as its so much easier to correct blemishes in clearcoat!

It's just base coat right now. Have a few spots that need sanded and redone. Then I'm clear coating it. The color is ford tractor red. It's easy to find so I've always used it. It's almost orange in the sun

Changin' colors on a vehicle, most especially from red, would make me as nervous as a cat in a rockin' chair factory. Jes, remember, anything you don't paint is gonna stick out like a hooker in church. Peels, chips, scratches... Unless yer gonna take it all down to the metal n' purdy much do a frame off paint job, I'd do my best to stay close to what I had before.

I stuck with the red. Except the windshield.
