the good friend should also have a jeep, that way at least one will be close enough to wheel. as an added bonus the good freind system will work more like a bank account for both of you

1/2 inch drive breaker bar w/ impact sockets

A big fire honkin' extinguisher for when you soak (insert location of stripped, stuck, rusted bolt or nut) with PB Blaster and then hit it with the torch and all the undercoating and years of leaking oil in your drivers side frame rail starts burning inside the frame and there are flames shooting out all the holes.

And a digital camera so you put everything back the way it was and you arn't left with that one pesky vacuum hose and no idea where it goes. On that note... A bin for the "Why the heck did the PO do this" parts

Soldering iron, solder, flux, heat shrink tubing.

I was trying to keep it away from my leaking fuel tank. I was busy.

My skid plate was held in by one bolt(which broke)... the other ones were broken off inside the frame rails.. a bunch of oxy-mapp, a couple of busted knuckles, some PB, excessive drill use, and two broken extractors later i had them all out.

persistance is one of the best tools. i love that quote; some people are awful touchy about their beliefs. one other quick question; was the rig inside or out when all the red stuff found its way out?

Go ahead and get a spindle nut socket 16711.01 - Omix-Ada - Locking Hub Spindle Nut Socket for Jeep : Tellico 4x4 (Quadratec Jeep Parts, Jeep Accessories & Jeep Soft Tops From The Jeep Parts Experts - Quadratec or 4wd Jeep Parts, Jeep Accessories, & Jeep Tops ? Jeep Wrangler Parts by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware ? Your Jeep Parts Source* parts has them also). NONE of the auto parts houses (even privately owned) had one for purchase. My rig was down an additional 3 days due to that factoid.
Don't forget a quality Torque wrench ('click' type first in the 10 - 150 ft-lb range).

Later, T.J.

JavaTee i just bought the mj tee shirt from that site. i'm all about the wounded warrior project. my question would be about the spindle nut socket, is it the same size as a gm or different? i've already got the 85 chevy size. been luggin that around for awhile. i don't sell guns or tools. i may give a good friend either if they need it and i don't.

Is the socket you have 2 1/16"? That's the size.
